Its June 1st and that means we have officially embarked upon the summer season. Although our weddings officially started in March, many of our friends are now getting ready for their season to begin. Yes, we will have great weather with days of sunshine but don’t forget about the unexpected rain that sometimes pop up when you least expect it.
For this Richmond, Virginia wedding we’re featuring below, captured by the very kind and talented, Vera of Vera Pakizer Photography, Elations Designs had an indoor location as a back up plan for the outdoor ceremony that would seat 250 guests out of the 400 that were expected for the reception at a nearby location. As almost expected, it rained all morning. Only until a half an hour before the ceremony time, did the rain let up. The ground was still wet from all the rain so we consulted with our couple and suggested that we keep the ceremony indoors.
Vera Pakizer was able to capture the details of this fun ceremony as the sunshine beamed in from the skylight. Butterflies hung from the ceiling and the trees served as the backdrop.
Remember, always have a plan B whether it means umbrellas or an alternate location. You will be happy you did.
